"Art for Polar" Online Exhibition

"In 2021, ECO YOUNG launched the POLARIS INITIATIVE, aimed at promoting environmental issues in the polar regions (the Arctic and Antarctic) through creative education. The United Nations climate report on the polar regions indicates that the effects of human-induced climate change in these areas will not be limited to the polar regions themselves: changes in precipitation patterns have led to increasing droughts and floods, and extreme weather events pose a serious threat to global biodiversity. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has emphasized the urgent need to address environmental issues in polar regions, calling for a swift and coordinated global response to limit the irreversible impacts of climate change. In 2021, the ECO YOUNG POLARIS INITIATIVE collaborated with scholars from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Harvard Kennedy School to launch the "ART FOR POLAR" online exhibition."
